Sigmund Freud is the founder of psychoanalysis and has a lasting impact on psychology today. The Sigmund Freud museum hosts regular events and exhibitions detailing his life, as well as his theories and scientific work, and the influence they had on the culture in which we live. It’s a fascinating place and visiting on a day out is guaranteed to be rewarding.
A new exhibition, from the 22nd of February to the 7th of May will feature a full sized x-ray of the coat Freud bought in London, as well as small bronzes and prints. The curator Paul Coldwell uses these artifacts to weave a narrative around Freud’s life as well as investigate deeply into the relationship between objects and identity.
